Giclée – “Bridget’s Apple Tree”

My friend, Bridget Duffy, and I spent an afternoon in her backyard working on our depiction of trees.  The conventional wisdom is to paint the overall shape and then add a few sky holes.  Yet, when the tree is laden with apples, I can hardly keep from diving into the weeds with details.  I did simplify much of the backyard detail, which detracted from the overall composition.
