Oil Painting – “Una Mujer de Mexico”

This was the first painting I created at a Portrait Workshop in Los Alamitos that my friend, Bridget Duffy, told me about.  Artists paint from a live, clothed model for three hours.  After that, I snap a reference photo at the workshop, and then take my painting home and refine it in my studio.  I enjoyed the model’s pleasant, serene face and the way her flowing, wavy white hair caught the light.
